Healing Touch (HT) is a complementary, integrative energy therapy that can be used in conjunction with traditional therapies.
The goal of HT is to restore harmony and balance in the human energy system, thus creating an optimal environment for the body’s innate tendency for healing to occur.
In 1994, the National Institute of Health measured the electro-magnetic field of the body. They named it the bio-field, and there are measurable positive differences in a person’s bio-field after receiving a hand on treatment like HT.
Why is this significant? Science is supporting the theory that physical disease and dysfunction begin in the bio-field and work into the body.
Healing Touch research has been conducted in a wide variety of medical settings, and surveys indicate that patients evaluate it highly.
Research has been supported and/or funded by hospitals, universities, colleges, professional organizations, private foundations, and the National Institute of Health: National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM).
HT is accepted, validated and utilized in hospitals, hospice, long-term care, integrative health centers, private practices and clinics.
Research suggests that HT greatly benefits those who receive it in the following ways:
*Reduces Pain *Reduces Anxiety *Relieves Stress/Depression
*Provides support during Chemo * Supports immune System *Creates a sense of well-being
*Reduces effects of trauma/chronic pain *Enhances recovery from surgery *Deepens spiritual connection
HT uses gentle, light or near-body touch to clear, balance, energize and support the human energy system in an effort to promote healing for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. HT combined with Aromatherapy produces amazing results.
One of my clients in Nashville, TN had this to say about Healing Touch:
I received healing touch and aromatherapy several times a month for a year from Gina. I only stopped the treatments because she moved to Colorado. I can honestly say that I looked forward to each treatment because I knew they were helping.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 recurrent breast cancer in July 2006 and was told I’d have up to 3 years to live. Since that time, I have passed two other projected expiration dates set by my doctors. The cancer has spread to every bone in my body, including the skull. It is also in one lung even though I never smoked. Going to Gina was one of the best alternative treatments I have done. She could feel areas in which I was experiencing pain, do her healing touch, and make the pain go away, which was a big relief for me.
